Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is the lead player in delivering Canada's official development assistance
for developing countries and the technical cooperation program for countries in transition. CIDA's objective is to support sustainable
development by working with developing countries to develop the tools to eventually meet their own needs. In countries in transition,
CIDA supports the efforts of Canadian private, public, and non-governmental organizations to address the transition to democrat,
market-driven economies. Canada works closely with International Financial Institutions and other donors and, like other
industrialized countries, provides assistance in the form of goods, services, transfer of knowledge and skills, and financial
contributions
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT)
DFAIT has more than 800 trade representatives around the world to provide assistance to Canadian companies on more than 150 000
occasions each year, helping them generate billions of dollars worth of exports. DFAIT is also a founding partner of Team Canada Inc,
a network of trade promotion services which assist Canadian businesses to seek out export opportunities and compete in the global marketplace
Industry Canada (IC)
Industry Canada has strong linkages to the Canadian electric power equipment and services sector, is able to assist you with your
sourcing needs, and can offer you information products detailing the significant scope and diversity of Canada's dynamic electrical
sector.
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is a federal government department specializing in energy, minerals and metals, forests and
earth sciences. The Energy Sector is one of five sectors within Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). In keeping with the department's
mandate, and working in partnership with all levels of government, universities, research institutes, the private sector and
international organizations, the Energy Sector promotes the sustainable development and responsible use of Canada's natural
resources. The sector's activities focus on R&D, policy development and programs in the areas of energy efficiency, renewables
and alternatives, hydrocarbons and nuclear energy.
